Returns & Refunds Policy

We want your Dune+Kind experience to be smooth from start to finish. If something’s not quite right, we’ve made returns as simple as possible.

Return Window

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • Unused and in the same condition you received it
  • In its original packaging
  • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase

For hygiene and safety reasons, opened or used haircare products cannot be returned unless they are faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

How to Start a Return

  1. Click Start a Return on our Returns page or in your customer account.
  2. Select the item(s) and reason for return.
  3. Once approved, we’ll email you a prepaid Australia Post return label with instructions.
  4. Print your label, package your product, and drop it off at your nearest post office.

⚠️ Please do not send back items without first requesting a return.

Return Shipping

Change of Mind
If you decide to return your product for any reason other than fault or damage, we’ll provide you with a prepaid Australia Post return label once your return is approved. A flat fee of $9.95 will be deducted from your refund to cover return shipping.

Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives faulty, leaking, damaged, or we’ve sent the wrong product, return shipping is 100% free. We’ll email you a prepaid Australia Post label so you can easily package and drop it off at your nearest post office.

Refunds

  • Once we’ve received and inspected your return, we’ll notify you of approval.
  • Approved refunds are automatically issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
  • Banks and credit card companies may take additional time to process. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, please contact us at info@duneandkind.com.

Damages & Issues

Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, leaking, or incorrect, so we can evaluate and make it right.

Final Sale Items

Products clearly marked as “Final Sale” at the time of purchase cannot be returned or refunded unless they are faulty or damaged.
⚠️ Regular discounts, launch offers, or promotional sales are still eligible under our standard 30-day return policy.

Non-returnable Items

  • Gift cards
  • Opened or used products (unless faulty/damaged)
  • Final Sale products (as marked at checkout)

Exchanges

The fastest way to get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, place a new order for the replacement.

Consumer Guarantees (Australia)

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product has a major failure, you are entitled to a refund or replacement. For minor issues, we’ll repair, replace, or refund as required.
